Monday night, Tammie and I went to our first Stitch-n-Bitch. We both were worried that our relationship would be a problem for people, though.
We start talking to Sue, the woman who got there first after us, and she asks me, "How do you and Tammie know each other?"
"Oh, we live together."
She looks at us for a moment and asks a further question. "Are you partners?"
Tammie replies, "Partners, plus. We have a boyfriend back at home."
"Watching the baby."
Sue comments, "That sounds about perfect for me. Don't think my husband would like it though." And we go on about our knitting, just being out and talking about our life like it's the most ordinary thing in the world.
