(hugs) you didn't yell at her at all when i was with you, and i was quite impressed. i think you're probably doing okay - everyone has their off days, and if most days are good, then you're doing well. hope you feel better and she calms down soon.
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement. I decided it was time to break out my bottle of Merlot to settle me down, and it's helping. Rosa is also finally settling down some too: she's been watching movies on TV.
{{{hugs}}} We all lose our patience occasionally (some of us more than occasionally (yeah that would be me)). One of the hardest parts of being a single parent--especially of a child that age (I know because I was single with Kenny at that age)--is that you don't have another person to relieve some of the task of having to always be "on" with the child. And that age is SO time and attention-intensive! Give yourself a hug and know that you aren't a bad parent, from what I could see, you are a very good parent.

Date: 2002-05-26 08:08 pm (UTC)I yell sometimes too. I'm actually considering getting one of those 'I yell because I care' shirts. (kidding)
Don't worry about it. I doubt that she will hate you for this one day when she grows up, so don't hate yourself for it now.
